Then you realise that open source solutions don't just plug in and work out-of-the-box. Competitive pricing
Work can be undertaken on hourly/daily rates or a fixed cost basis. Typical rates are £45/hour (£315 for a day's consultancy) plus expenses, but rates and pricing may be negotiable, especially for large contracts or for simple applications. We prefer to quote a fixed price with staged payments, but this is only possible if the scope of the project is well defined and documented. Smartvox's geographic reach is not limited to the UK and now the exchange rates are more favourable, your Euros or US dollars stretch further. In USD charges for consultancy would be approximately $70/hour; in Euros, €52/hour plus expenses. We accept payment by PayPal.

Our expert staff are also available for short term contract work at very competitive rates. If you have a VoIP project requiring Asterisk or OpenSIPS expertise and lasting at least 2 weeks then we can provide a programmer working at your premises or ours for rates as low as £30/hour (£200 a day) plus VAT.

Design, Project planning and proof of concept
We can advise and guide you from the outset - we will examine your proposals, advise you if it will work and prepare schematics and project plans for installation, configuration, testing and commissioning. If necessary, we will set up a pilot system (often just using existing equipment) to demonstrate if a solution is viable.

Also the importance of good quality documentation and training for key personnel in your organisation. We can of course provide ongoing support under a maintenance contract, but our primary objective is to provide you with a reliable tested solution and ensure that your own staff have the documentation and knowledge to carry out the majority of maintenance tasks unassisted.
